A shuffled deck of project cards: click, tap, drag or use arrow keys to send the top card spinning to the back of the stack with a springy overshoot, popping the next one forward. One "Stack Card" component instance per project (photo, imageAlt, title, category, year, href, tone — a coral/teal/amber/violet/ink accent that colours the category chip and card edge), duplicate/reorder/delete instances in Layers to change the deck. Every stack option is a data attribute on the Stack element (edit it in Etch's attributes panel): data-theme (light|dark) re-themes the whole section; data-spread (tight|normal|wide) how far the two cards behind the top one fan out; data-card-width / data-card-height (px; empty keeps the responsive clamp() default); data-start (0-based index of the card that starts on top). Inline vanilla JS keeps every card's position in a rotation array and writes a data-pos attribute (0 = active, 1-2 = fanned behind, 3+ = hidden at the back); CSS transitions interpolate each card's translate/rotate/scale/opacity between positions, so both single-step navigation and jumping straight to a dot both animate smoothly with no per-step JS animation code. Pointer drag on the active card (mouse + touch) previews the throw and commits to next/prev past a distance threshold or snaps back; arrow keys and a dot for every card work the same way. Reduced motion drops straight to the new order with an instant, non-spring transition. Labelled region, live region announcing the active project, :focus-visible rings, AA contrast in both themes, forced-colors support.
