Ten years ago I was the person on the other side of your inbox — running a tiny business, juggling tools that promised to save time and quietly took more of it. I did not set out to start a company. I set out to stop feeling behind.

The first version of what we make was a spreadsheet, one stubborn weekend and three friends who agreed to test it if I bought lunch. Two of them still work here. The third is still our most honest customer.

We have grown since then — forty-one people across nine time zones — but the rule we wrote on day one still decides what we build, what we charge and what we say no to.
