Our story

We started with one bench, two chairs and a stubborn idea.

Fourteen years later the bench is longer, the chairs outnumber us, and the idea is the same: make fewer things, and make them properly.

What began as weekend repairs in a borrowed garage became a studio of nine makers, designers and one very patient bookkeeper. We still sketch by hand, test every joint twice and sign the underside of everything that leaves the workshop.

Growth was never the goal. Staying good at the work was. That meant saying no to shortcuts, yes to repairs for life, and keeping our doors open to anyone who wants to watch the process.

If it cannot be repaired, we have not finished designing it.
