Plain editable Etch tree (eyebrow, heading, intro) holding a cinematic 3D book carousel on a lit shelf: only the book is a component ("Shelf Book": cover image, coverAlt, title, author), placed as six instances that can be duplicated, reordered or deleted in Layers. Each book is a real 3D object built from CSS faces (front cover, page-block spine and a top edge) with a page-thickness box-shadow stack, so it reads as a physical object standing on the shelf, not a flat card. Built on Swiper with momentum-flick drag (freeMode with momentum) and a spring-like settle on release (an overshoot easing curve on the wrapper transition); clicking any visible book also centres it with the same spring. Every option is a data attribute on the Shelf element (edit it in Etch's attributes panel): cover images (per book: cover image, coverAlt, title, author); data-thickness (thin|medium|thick) depth of the page block on the book's spine edge; data-light (studio|warm|dramatic) lighting rig style: even studio wash, warm side light, or dramatic rim light; data-idle-drift (true|false) a very slow autoplay that starts after a few seconds of no interaction and stops the moment a visitor touches the shelf; data-scale (comfortable|compact) responsive canvas scaling: comfortable gives books more breathing room, compact fits more of the shelf on screen. A soft ground-plane shadow and spotlight follow the centred book. Without JS the shelf is a native scroll-snap row with the controls hidden. Labelled carousel region, :focus-visible rings, keyboard arrows, no drift or spring motion under prefers-reduced-motion.
