A hand of seven "Deck Photo" component instances (photo, photoAlt, caption, slot from -3 to 3) fanned into an arc under a soft radial glow, built as a plain, fully editable Etch tree: section > container > header (eyebrow, h2, intro) > deck holding the ambient glow layer and the fan of cards — duplicate, reorder or re-slot photos in Layers. Every option is a data attribute on the deck (edit it in Etch's attributes panel): data-active-on (hover|click, default hover) hover previews a card up front; click always commits it and persists; data-float (true|false, default true) the whole deck idles with a slow, gentle bob; data-glow (true|false, default true) soft ambient light bloom above the deck; data-spread (tight|normal|wide, default normal) how far the fan opens. Pure CSS drives the arc from each card's authored `slot` (custom property): rotation and a quadratic vertical curve fan the cards out from a raised centre. Inline JS toggles a `data-active` card either on hover/focus (data-active-on="hover", reverts on leave) or on click (data-active-on="click", stays chosen — clicking again or clicking another card moves it), supports Left/Right arrow keys to step the active card, and runs a slow reduced-motion-safe Web Animations API idle float on the whole deck (no @keyframes). Cards are real buttons, so the fan is fully usable and reorderable by keyboard. Works without JS as a static resting fan. Labelled deck region, :focus-visible rings, AA contrast, forced-colors borders, pointer effects no-op on touch.
