Undo an import and fix problems
Undo an import
Click Undo this import on the last screen of the import. Etchedy deletes the pages, templates, posts, components and forms the import created and restores what it overwrote, such as replaced pages and your Automatic.css settings. Plugins that were installed during the import stay installed; remove them on the Plugins screen if you do not need them.
You can import the same website again later. The Overview step tells you when a website was imported before, and the Content step decides what happens to pages that already exist.
If something goes wrong
- The window stops at its checks. Etch and Automatic.css must be active and new enough. Activate or update them, then press Check again.
- The uploads folder is not writable. Ask your host to make wp-content/uploads writable, then check again.
- The server cannot unpack zip files. Ask your host to enable the PHP zip extension.
- A plugin will not install. Install it from Plugins → Add New, then go back to the Tools step. Premium plugins come from their vendor.
- A large site stops halfway. Raise the PHP memory limit to 128M or more and import again.
Still stuck? Open Etchedy → System status and copy the report into a message to us. See System status and troubleshooting.
